Today, is a review on the new Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation and Concealer.
Im just going to put it right out there straight away, I adore both these products.
I was super-excited to pick up this foundation after the insane hype it has received in the blogging world, and i was not disappointed.
I shall begin with the foundation, it claims to have an anti-fatigue effect and give a radiant glow, which is true, but don’t expect any massive skin awakening effects. There is quite a considerable amount of shimmer in the formula which is probably the main aspect of the foundation that gives the radiant glow.
The main thing I love about this product is the natural finish, usually with drugstore foundations, they tend to cling to every flake of skin, not the nicest of effects. This was the main thing that ever turned me off any other foundation ( even my beloved bourjois healthy mix tends to swing a bit this way ) Rimmel Wake Me Up however, just glides on the skin naturally and blends heavenly.
I also find the lasting power to be quite good :)
The coverage I would say is medium, which I prefer. I find these foundations to be most natural looking.
I just adore this foundation and honestly, with the fact it cost a tenner in a drugstore I cant find a fault to it! It is hands down the best drugstore foundation I have ever tried!And onto the concealer… :)
I was surprised by this concealer, it truly is a little gem. Usually, when brands release a collection like Wake Me Up, one product is always a let-down. I didn’t find this to be the reality with this concealer at all. It works wonders for under eye circles, which is the reason I will be repurchasing , but its also works a charm for blemishes. I find with lots of concealers when you apply them to a spot, they cling to the dry skin on them and make the spot look almost more unsightly. This concealer I have found does its best not to do so and hides your blemishes completely.
I am in the shade ivory for both products, the foundation retails for about €10.99 and the concealer for €6.99.
